Some months ago I was fascinated to find out that boys in some countries wore tights, especially as boys just would not. It seems that, in Britain there are some things which divide the genders and tights fall firmly into the girl camp. So, it is refreshing that this is not the case in many European countries. I suppose it makes sense that the more northerly countries will be the ones where there is a tradition of wearing clothes that keep you warm!
I came across a post about a company called Skinija, based in Lithuania. They make socks and tights and, best of all, hold a competition each year where children contribute their own designs to a competition. The winners have their designs manufactured and sold. Boys as well as girls get involved in this.
The photographs show winning designs submitted by boys.
